I just got my 40gb ps3 with metal gear solid 4 and ea skate. 1st question: In Mgo do you level up specific skills or can you level up like in cod 4 were you just play. Syrus replied: "Really the best rooms to get into to lvl are rooms in the free battle areas marked lvl up rooms, you may have to check the room discriptions if it specificaly doesn't say lvl up in the room name."

MGO skill leveling problem? Ok, So I leved up my assault skill to 2 but when I try to buy the skill I can't. I have a star beside the skill while playing in game. But in the skill options I try to select it to level 2 but it doesn't work. Can anyone tell me how to make it work?

cyberianepic replied: "You don't "buy" skills in MGO. When you have assualt equipped @ level 1, do you see a 'star' beside it when playing? If yes, then you need to open up an extra slot in your skills to equip level 2 assualt rifle. If no, then you didn't level up in the first place."

what score is needed to rank up in mgo? Or is it based on kills, headshots etc? If you know the exact amount to rank up please tell me. My score is about 180 and I am still a level 1

Loucetios replied: "It depends on you skill, so the amount of headshots, deaths kills, knock outs things of that nature. Also keep to certain skills. For example i have the assault mastery skill so i only use assault rifles. I got that skill to level 2 so that affects it as well. If you want help to get better i suggest going into settings and having the stun knife equiped as one of your starting weapons. Holding L1 and then pressing R2 will make a eletric stun knocking the enemy out which will allow you to get a headshot while they are on the ground. Learn to use the knife and your main weapon and you will rank up fast"

How do I level up in MGS4? I dont know why but Ive been on level one on MGO for a really long time and its really easier for the other people (with higher levels) to kill me. So how do I level up, and fast?

Austin D replied: "use an assualt rifle like the M4 and 1 burst people so you can get headshots... either that or grab yourself the semiautomatic sniper rifle and use that it will be easier for you to get kills this is a combo i use my kill death ratio is 2 to 1"

mgo level limit question? hi im lvl 6 on mgo but im confuse of the level limit setting that is when u create ur game how do i put it to no allow people lvl 7 or higher???

Joey T replied: "This is one one of the most common confusions on MGO. The limit is determined by how you put the number. If you notice the sign between the numbers is a minus and a plus. So if you put 10+- 10 it will allow anyone 10 levels under 10 or 10 lvls over 10. If you put 5+- 4 it will allow anyone 4 levels below 5 or above 5... so to make the game level 6 and under just put 0 and 6."

i have been playing mgo 4 for a while and i often play with the SMG+ skill and NARC but they aren't leveling? so can any helps me and tell how can i level up quickly

Sandman_R replied: "one way i supose is go on rooms with people around your level. i go to rooms with a small amount of people so youre not constantly surrounded even after you get a kill. its too big of a mess with 16 people in a room unless youre really good. just keep that up and use your skills."

Dad D replied: "if you are using smg lvl 1, and in-game you see a start next to it, it means you have to EQUIP level 2 by going to the skill selection screen, and selecting the skill, and pressing right, while in the window showing information about the skill."

This is an MGO or Metal Gear Online Skills & Levels Question? When I play Online, there are 4 Free Skill Slots. There are also multiple skills, and I have bought 3 of them up to level three. Then, when I join Combat Training, something is not right... I sometimes would see the skills equal up to six. An example is, Close-Quarters-Combat Level 3 & Monomania Level 3. I have noticed that the level of the Instructor does not matter, how is this? A Glitch or Hack? I will not share my MGO ID or PSN. Or mention who has the Skills equaling up to 6.

777UK replied: "This isn't a glitch or a hack so dont worry :) Like you said, you have 4 skill slots. Some skills such as Assault Rifle+ or CQC+ take up 1 slot for each level of the skill. For example CQC+ level 3 would take up 3 slots. Some skills however, such as Monomania or Sixth Sense only take up 1 slot, regardless of the level of the skill. You can have certain skills like Level 3 Monmania in one slot and still have 3 other slots for other skills. Thats how it's possible to have your example CQC Level 3 and Monomania Level 3. I found a guide on gamefaqs that might be useful to you, it explains which skills take 1 slot per level and those which take 1 slot regardless of its level.
